Indications
Salatac gel is intended to remove viral warts, corns and hardenings of the skin in the form of calluses. The active ingredients work together to soften and break down the cornified skin of the wart.
Instructions
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for external use only.
Directions for use:
- Wash the affected areas, then soak in warm water for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Dry the area thoroughly with your own towel.
- Apply 1 to 2 drops of the gel directly on the wart. Wait until a film forms over the wart. The film will appear within a short time after the gel dries. Take care to avoid of the gel with the skin surrounding the wart. No adhesive plaster is necessary.
- The following evening, carefully remove the film formed from the previous evening's application. Repeat the treatment.
- Once a week, before the treatment, gently rub the treated surface with the emery board provided, or with a pumice stone, and then carry on with the treatment.
Remember: Be sure to keep using Salatac gel until the complete disappearance of the warts.
How frequently should Salatac gel be used?
You should apply Salatac gel regularly, once a day, generally in the evening at bedtime, until healing is complete.
Removal viral warts can take up to 12 weeks.
Do not use this medicine frequently or for a long period without consulting a doctor.
Warnings
Do not use Salatac gel if there is a known sensitivity to any of the components of this medicine or to other salicylates.
Do not use on wounded, inflamed skin or for long periods.
Do not use this medicine if you are diabetic.
Do not use this medicine on moles, birthmarks and hairy warts.
Do not use on the face, for warts affecting anal or genital region.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, cuts and scratches.
Avoid contact of the substance with clothing, fabrics, plastics, jewelry and furniture.
Avoid inhaling this product.
Avoid contact of the gel with the healthy skin surrounding the wart.
Do not take Salatac gel without consulting a doctor before starting treatment:
If you are pregnant first/last trimester, if you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from blood circulatory disorder.
If you are taking another drug, or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions, especially with regard to other keratolytic medicines.
