Active Ingredients
Each caplet contains:
Paracetamol 500 mg
Diphenhydramine HCI 25 mg
Indications
Therapeutic group:
Paracetamol- pain reliever and fever reducer
Diphenhydramine HCI- antihistamine (used as a sedative)
Therapeutic activity: pain reliever and fever reducer accompanied with sleeplessness.
Instructions
Do not chew! Swallow the caplets with water before bedtime.
This medicine can be taken with food.
Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:
Adults and children older than 12 years of age: 2 caplets before bedtime.
Do not use this medicine for more than 7 continuous days and/or frequently without consulting the doctor. Consult your doctor if sleeplessness continues for more than two weeks, if pain continues for more than 10 days or if fever continues for more than 3 days.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients.
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use this medicine if you are being treated simultaneously with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) or during 14 days after discontinuing treatment with MAOIs.
This medicine is not usually intended for children and infants below 12 years of age.
Paracetamol may cause liver damage in the following cases:
- When administered at a higher dosage than the recommended one
- When administered for a prolonged period
- When consuming alcoholic drinks during the treatment period
- When taking additional medicines which affect liver function
Do not use this medicine frequently without consulting a doctor.
Do not take additional fever-reducing and pain-relieving medicines or medicines for the common cold without consulting a doctor or a pharmacist, in order to prevent paracetamol over dosage/toxicity.
Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment: if you are suffering or have suffered in the past from impaired function of the respiratory system (such as asthma), the heart and/or blood vessels, eyes (such as glaucoma), the liver, the kidney/urinary tract, from epilepsy, from myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness), from a thyroid disorder, from an enlarged prostate gland (prostatic hypertrophy) or difficulties in urinating, from alcoholism or jaundice.
Do not drink wine or alcoholic beverages while under treatment with this medicine.
Use of this medicine may impair alertness and therefore caution should be exercised when engaging in activities such as driving a car, operating dangerous machinery and in any other activity which requires alertness.
