Rhinose
A nasal spray for the treatment and prevention of symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Active Ingredients
The bottle contains 15 ml solution for nasal application whose composition is:
Xyloglucan (0.15g/15ml), potassium sorbate , sodium EDTA, boric acid, sodium hydroxide, and saline solution.
Indications
Rhinose is a medical device that forms a protective barrier over the nasal epithelial mucosa, thus the contact of allergens and pathogens with the mucosa is reduced or impeded, preventing or minimizing the development of nasal symptoms. Its protective action is principally due to the presence of xyloglucan a natural polymer showing the capability to protect the epithelia and reduce the hyper secretion of liquids such as mucus. Rhinose is specifically formulated to control and treat the symptoms of rhinitis and rhino sinusitis from different aetiologies, especially those of allergic origin.
Rhinose relieves the symptoms of allergies caused by pollen, dust mites or pets acting as a barrier to the penetration of airborne allergens. Rhinose can also be taken as a preventive measure before coming into contact with an environment where airborne allergens are likely to be present (flowering periods, gardening activities, home dusting, et al.) as its mode of action provides protection from the very beginning, before symptoms appear.
Instructions
Do not swallow! The preparation is not intended for internal use.
Gently blow your nose to clean your nostrils. Shake the bottle and remove the protecting cap. Hold the bottle with your index and middle finger on both sides and your thumb underneath the bottle. Bend your head slightly forward and close one nostril by gently pressing against the side of your nose with the finger. Insert the applicator into your nostril and press down on the nozzle to puff once or twice. Insert the applicator into your other nostril and repeat the same steps described above. Recap the bottle.
To ensure safe hygiene, each bottle should only be used by one person.
The nozzle used in Rhinose provides a droplet size suitable to ensure a narrow jet thus allowing the adequate distribution of the solution in the whole nasal cavity, reaching even the upper part.
If not prescribed otherwise by your healthcare provider, please apply 1-2 puffs in each nostril 3 or 4 times a day.
Regular use is recommended when first symptoms are likely to appear and during the course of rhinitis. The dosage may be increased according to severity of symptoms.
Rhinose does not contain any pharmacological ingredient such as antihistamines or steroids. Should another pharmacological treatment be needed, Rhinose can be administered concomitantly with it.
Warnings
Rhinose should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to xyloglucan or to any other ingredient of the product. If allergic reactions occur, the use of Rhinose must be discontinued immediately.
Do not use for more than 6 weeks after first opening.
