Nail lacquer for the treatment of fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails.
Active Ingredients
Each 1 gram contains: Ciclopirox 80 mg
Indications
Antimycotic from the hydroxypyridone group.
For treating fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails.
Instructions
Before beginning treatment with the preparation, cut as much as possible from the affected nail with the help of scissors and file it with the help of a disposable nail file. For the first month, apply a thin layer to the nail surface every other day. During the second month, apply at least twice a week and from the third month on, apply once a week. Throughout the period of treatment, remove the entire coating of lacquer once a week with alcohol swabs and file the nail with a disposable nail file. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the infection. It is advisable not to use the preparation continuously for more than six months. The necessity to continue the treatment beyond 6 months should be determined by the doctor.
An opened bottle can be used for up to 6 months.
Keep the treated area dry.
For toenails: It is advisable to wear cotton socks.
Warnings
If you are sensitive to any type of food or medicine, inform your doctor before commencing treatment with this preparation.
This preparation is intended for application on nails only. Do not apply on the skin.
Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to ciclopirox or to any of the preparation’s ingredients.
This preparation is not intended for use in children.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use with nail polish.
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. In the event that there is contact with the eyes - wash with tap water for a prolonged period.
