Active Ingredients

Every vaginal ovule contains:

  • Boric Acid
  • Terpinen 4-ol
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract
  • Rice Oil
  • Vitamin E

Indications

Borix 600 vaginal ovules is indicated for the aid and relief of vaginal irritation, dryness, redness, stinging and/or discharge resulting from: Vulvovaginal candidiasis , vaginal inflammation , recurring vulvovaginal candidiasis.

Borix 600 contains Boric Acid, which acts by affecting pH levels in the vagina. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid for providing moisture; Rice Oil to provide moisture and soothe the area, and vitamin E, which is a known antioxidant, Oat Kernel Extract with soothing properties and Terpinen- 4-ol, which is the active ingredient of Tea Tree Oil that facilitates the product's anti-fungal activity.

Instructions

Not to be eaten or swallowed! The product is designed for vaginal use only.

Use the product in the evening before going to bed.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before inserting the ovule into the vagina. Remove the ovule from the package by pulling on both sides of the wrapping. Lie on your back and hold the ovule between your thumb and index finger. Lift and open your knees. Insert the ovule into the vagina with your index finger. Insert the ovule as deep as you can into the vagina.

Use the ovule immediately after having unwrapped it. An unused ovule must be discarded.

Standard dosage unless otherwise instructed by the doctor:

In the event of active Vulvovaginal Candidiasis: One ovule per day, every evening for 15 days.

Ongoing prophylactic treatment: One ovule twice a week for 8 weeks.

Do not exceed the recommended dose unless explicitly instructed by the doctor.

If you forgot to use this product on time, take the dose immediately once you remember, but never use a double dose!

If the vaginal symptoms continue after 15 days of using the product - see a doctor.

If signs of the condition recur within two months from the end of treatment, you must consult the doctor.

How can you help the success of the treatment?

During treatment, it is recommended not to use products for vaginal wash.

During treatment, wear only cotton underwear and change frequently.

When using the ovules, underwear may be stained. To prevent staining, use sanitary pads or pantyliners.

Consult with the doctor regarding the need for anti-fungal treatment for your partner as well.

Warnings

Do not use if you have any known sensitivities to any of the ingredients.

Do not use the product while menstruating.

Do not use if you have an open, bleeding or purulent sore in the vagina.

Do not use the product if you suffer from lower abdominal pain and/or fever.

Do not use for a prolonged period that exceeds 15 days without consulting a doctor.

Prolonged use might cause vaginal hypersensitivity. If you experience hypersensitivity following prolonged use, stop use and seek medical attention.

Do not use without consulting a doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.

The product is not to be used on girls younger than 12 years of age.

Do not use without consulting a doctor if you suffer from recurring or unexplained vaginal  bleeding or from a vaginal infection caused by bacteria.

Use of the product might cause excessive growth of microorganisms in the vaginal area (such as  bacteria) that might be manifested in vaginal pain, bleeding and unusual discharges if this occurs, consult your doctor.

If this is the first time you are suffering from a vaginal infection, consult with a doctor.

Do not use the product during menstruation or when experiencing vaginal bleeding. Treatment must end prior to the beginning of menstruation.

During treatment with the product, refrain from sexual intercourse, particularly when using birth controls made of latex or natural rubber such as condoms and diaphragms, since the efficacy of the birth control might be impaired during use.

During treatment with the product, avoid using a contraceptive sponge, spermicides, tampons or other vaginal preparations, except as recommended by a doctor.

Do not use other intravaginal products at the same time.

If you are taking any other antibiotic medication or another medication that is inserted into the vagina consult with the doctor before use.

If you are taking another product or medication or if you have just completed treatment with another product or medication, you must inform your attending physician to prevent risks or inefficacy due to interactions.
