Indications

Colpermin is used for the treatment of symptoms of discomfort , abdominal colic and distension following irritable bowel syndrome.
Instructions
Do not chew! Swallow the medicine with a small amount of liquid.
The usual dosage is generally: One capsule three times a day , 30-60 minutes before a meal. The dose may be increased up to two capsules three times a day when the symptoms are severe.
The medicine should be taken until there is symptomatic relief , for a period of one to two weeks.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Consult the doctor if the symptoms worsen or if they do not improve after two weeks.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine without consulting a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive(allergic) to the active ingredient: peppermint oil, or to any other ingredients the medicine contains , especially if you are sensitive to menthol , soya and peanuts. Furthermore , do not use Colpermin if you are suffering or have suffered in the past from bile duct obstruction , inflammation of the gallbladder , or liver damage.
Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment if you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of the digestive system (e.g. ulcer, heartburn)or from a deficiency of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
If you are taking , or have recently taken other medicines , including non-prescription medicines and nutritional supplements , tell the doctor or pharmacist , in particular , inform the doctor it you are taking antacids.
The medicine is intended for use in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age and above.
