Encypalmed dragees are digestive enzymes that assist in regulation of gastrointestinal disorders. Help to absorb excess gas in the gut and facilitates the feeling of fullness after a heavy meal.

Active Ingredients

Each dragee contains:

  • Pancreatin (contains Lactose) 72 mg
  • Ox bile extract 35 mg

Indications

Therapeutic group:

Digestive enzymes and bile salts.

Encypalmed enteric-coated dragees are intended for the regulation of digestive disturbances.

Instructions

Do not chew! Swallow the medicine with water.

Take the medicine before or with meals.

Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:

  • Adults: 2-4 dragees 3 times a day before or with meals.
  • Children: 1-2 dragees 3 times a day before or with meals.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Allow a lapse of at least two hours between taking this medicine and taking antacids.

How can you contribute to the success of the treatment?

It is important that during treatment you maintain a balanced diet of proteins, fats and starches according to a physician's or an authorized dietician's instructions.

Warnings

Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients or to animal proteins.

Do not use this medicine in the case of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or other symptoms of appendicitis.

Do not use this medicine in the case of acute pancreatic inflammation.

Do not use this medicine frequently, or for a long period, without consulting a doctor.

This product contains sodium and sucrose.

Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of the liver (severe jaundice), the digestive system (e.g. ulcer), complete biliary obstruction.

If you need a high dosage of Encypalmed and have high blood pressure or kidney dysfunction. Patients who are on a low-salt diet must consult a physician before starting treatment with this medicine.

If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. This is especially important for medicines belonging to the following groups: iron-containing preparations and antacid preparations containing magnesium and calcium carbonate.
