Eye drops to relieve burning, itching, irritation and redness in the eyes.

Indications
Therapeutic group: Symptomatic decongestant.
Visine original eye drops is intended for relief of burning, stinging, irritation and redness of eyes.
Instructions
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for external use only.
Wash your hands thoroughly, tilt your head back. With the aid of the forefinger, pull the lower eyelid down, to form a “pocket”. Drip the medicine into the “pocket” which has been formed. Gently close your eyes. Do not blink. Keep your eyes closed for 1-2 minutes. If you think that the drop did not get in, instill another drop. Use a tissue to clean off the solution remaining around the eye.
The recommended dosage is usually: 1-2 drops into the affected eye, up to 4 times a day.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Refer to a doctor if the signs of the ailment worsen or do not improve after 3 days, or if the irritation and congestion intensify or persist or in the event of eye pain or if there are vision changes.
To avoid contamination, do not allow the tip of the bottle to contact any surface (including the eye itself).
Keep the bottle tightly closed.
Do not use the medicine for more than 28 days from first opening.
Do not use the medicine if it has become discolored or cloudy.
Do not use if the safety seal printed on the bottle cap is damaged or missing.
Do not use this preparation when wearing soft contact lenses. Remove the contact lenses before using the preparation; they can be reinserted in after no less than 15 minutes of instilling the medicine into the eye.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients or to any of the other ingredients contained in the medicine.
The medicine is intended for adults and children above the age of 6. For use in children below this age, refer to a doctor.
Use in children below the age of 12 must be under the supervision of an adult.
Do not use this medicine if you suffer from narrow-angle glaucoma.
Continuous and prolonged use, exceeding 4 days, may increase the redness in the eyes.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this medicine without consulting a doctor before commencing treatment.
Before treatment with Visine, inform the doctor if:
You are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from hypertension , diabetes , eye problems (e.g., glaucoma), from impaired function of the: heart and/or hypertension, eyes (e.g., narrow-angle glaucoma).
If you are taking, or have recently taken, other medicines, including non-prescription medicines and nutritional supplements, inform the doctor or pharmacist. Especially inform the doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:
Monoamino-oxidase inhibitors antidepressants (MAOI, e.g., phenelzine) or other antidepressants.
This preparation contains the benzalkonium chloride preservative, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses.
