Lorastine
Treatment of urticaria and allergic rhinitis.
Active Ingredients
Each tablet contains:
Loratadine 10 mg
Indications
Therapeutic activity:
Antihistamine preparation for treatment of allergic rhinitis and associated symptoms such as sneezing , stinging and tearing eyes, as wel as for treatment of skin allergy.
Instructions
Take the medicine before a meal.
Recommended dosage:
Adults and children over 6 years: one tablet once daily, on an empty stomach.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
If you forget to take this medicine at the specified time, take the dose as soon as you remember, but never take a double dose to compensate for a missed one!
Complete the full course of treatment as instructed by the doctor. Even if there is an improvement in your health, do not discontinue use of this medicine before consulting your doctor.
Warnings
Do not use Lorastine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients.
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The drug should be discontinued approximately four days prior to skin testing procedures, since antihistamines may prevent or diminish otherwise positive reactions to these tests.
Do not use this medicine frequently, or for a long period, without consulting a doctor.
This medicine contains lactose and may cause an allergic reaction in patients sensitive to lactose. Rarely, use of this preparation may cause drowsiness that might affect ability to drive and to use machinery.
Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment: If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of the liver or the kidney.
This medicine is not usually intended for administration to children under 6 years of age.
If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions.
