Active Ingredients

Each tablet contains:

• Calcium carbonate 680mg
• Heavy magnesium carbonate 80mg

Indications

This medicine is antacid and intended for relief of hyperacidity and heartburn. Each tablet has an acid-neutralizing capacity of about 16 mEq.

Instructions

Chew or suck the medicine before swallowing it.

Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:

1-2 tablets, preferably about one hour after a meal and at bedtime. For the treatment of heartburn, 2 tablets may be taken in addition to these times up to a maximum of 10 tablets in a period of 24 hours.

May be also be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women at the recommended dose.

It is recommended to wait approximately 1-2 hours between taking other medicines and taking Rennie.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Warnings

Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to this medicine or to any of its ingredients.

Do not use this medicine in case of severe kidney disease.

Do not use this medicine in case of high calcium levels in the urine or kidney stones.

Do not use this medicine in case of high calcium levels or low phosphate levels in the blood.

During prolonged treatment with this medicine blood calcium, magnesium and phosphate levels should be tested, especially in patients suffering from kidney failure.

Do not use this medicine for longer than two weeks unless advised by your doctor. If the symptoms continue for longer than 14 days of taking the medicine, refer to the doctor.

This medicine is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.

The medicine contains sucrose. If you have intolerance to some sugars, consult the doctor before taking Rennie.
