Omega-3 is a general name for several essential fatty acids. They are called “essential” since the body does not know how to produce them by itself and therefore it is essential for the body to receive an adequate and regular supply of these acids through food or through nutritional supplements.

In the past, the prevalent theory was that fish oil was the only source for the two omega- 3 fatty acids called DHA and EPA.

However, in recent years it has been discovered that the source of these two fatty acids is the seaweed that fish eat, from which they receive a regular supply of DHA and EPA. EPA is the origin of various hormones that activate and regulate many bodily systems, and DHA plays an important role in normal neural development.

The recommendations of the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are to consume a minimum of 250 mg DHA a day, in particular during pregnancy and lactation.

Instruction for use

One teaspoon (5 ml in the enclosed measuring cup), once daily. You can mix with water and drink.

5 ml = 100 mg EPA and 200 mg DHA.
