Rectozorin suppositories
For the relief of pain caused by hemorrhoids.
Active Ingredients
Each suppository contains:
- Bismuth subgallate 100 mg
- Thymol biiodide 150 mg
- Tannic acid 20 mg
- Zinc oxide 100 mg
- Benzocaine 100 mg
- Menthol 5 mg
Indications
Therapeutic group:
Preparations to treat hemorrhoids, for rectal use.
Rectozorin ointment intended for the relief of pain caused by hemorrhoids.
Instructions
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for use in the rectum only.
Opening instructions:
Separate one suppository from the suppository strip. To remove the plastic wrapper, separate the tabs on the flat part of the plastic wrapper and pull to the sides until the suppository comes out. The suppository may be moistened with a little water to ease its insertion.
Lie down on your side and insert the suppository deep into the rectum using your finger. When you finish, wash your hands thoroughly.
If the suppository is too soft, it may be chilled in a refrigerator for about 30 minutes or cooled under cold water before removing the plastic wrapper.
Recommended dosage unless otherwise instructed by your doctor:
One suppository in the morning and in the evening, and following each bowel movement.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If there is no improvement in your condition within a few days, refer to your doctor.
The medicine is not usually intended for children under 18 years of age.
Warnings
Do not use Rectozorin suppositories if You are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients or to any of the additional ingredients contained in the medicine.
Before treatment with Rectozorin suppositories tell the doctor if:
- You are pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.
- You suffer, or have suffered in the past, from impaired kidney or urinary system function.
- Your hemorrhoids are bleeding or if the skin is inflamed, damaged or injured at or near the treatment site.
- You are under 18 years of age.
Do not use this medicine frequently, or for a long period, without consulting a doctor.
If you are sensitive to iodine, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
