Active Ingredients
Each Chewable tablet contains:
Paracetamol 250 mg
Indications
Dexamol kid intended as an analgesic and for reducing fever for children who have trouble swallowing pills, tablets and caplets.
Instructions
Dexamol kid can be halved, can be crushed! Chew this medicine before swallowing it.
Unless otherwise directed by the physician, the recommended dosage is:
3 years old - 0.5 tablet up to 5 times daily
4-6 years old - 1 tablet up to 4-5 times daily
7-8 years old - 1.5 tablets up to 4 times daily
9-10 years old - 1.5 tablets up to 4-5 times daily
11-12 years old - 2 tablets up to 4 times daily
Dosage for adults and children above 12 years: 2-4 tablets every 4-6 hours. Do not exceed 16 tablets within 24 hours.
Do not exceed the recommended dose or number of doses within 24 hours. Take at intervals of no less than 4 hours.
If fever lasts for more than 3 days or gets worse or if the pain gets worse or lasts for more than 5 days, consult your physician.
If the child has accidentally taken a double dose consult the physician or proceed to an emergency room.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine if you are aware of any hypersensitivity to one of its ingredients.
This medicine is usually not intended for infants and children under 3 years old.
Paracetamol may cause damage to the liver in the following cases:
- when administered at a dosage higher than the recommended one
- when administered for extended periods
- when consuming alcoholic beverages during the treatment period
- when taking additional medicines that affect the function o the liver
Do not use this medicine frequently or for a prolonged period without consulting your physician.
Avoid high doses (within the recommended limits) of this medicine when fasting.
Do not take additional medicines for reduction of fever and relief of pain, or other cold medicines, without consulting a physician or pharmacist, in order to avoid paracetamol overdose/toxicity.
Do not use this medicine without consulting your physician before beginning treatment:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you or your child suffer, or have suffered in the past, from dysfunction of the liver, the kidney/urinary tract, from alcoholsm or jaundice.
