A drug for expectoration and reducing the viscosity of mucus. Designed for relief of respiratory diseases accompanied by increased phlegm and / or viscosity.

Active Ingredients

Each honey-lemon flavored lozenge contains: Carbocysteine 375 mg.

Indications

Therapeutic class: Expectorants.

Mucolit lozenges reduces the viscosity of the mucus and acts as expectorant.

This medicine is intended for relief in respiratory system disorders accompanied by excessive and/or viscous mucus.

Instructions

The lozenges should be sucked or chewed.

The generally accepted dosage is:

2 lozenges, 3 times a day.

When improvement is felt, the dose may be reduced to one lozenge, 4 times a day.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

If no improvement in your condition is felt within 7 days, contact the doctor. If your condition worsen during treatment, contact the doctor before the 7 treatment days are over.

Warnings

Do not use Mucolit lozenges if you are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the additional components the medicine contains.Signs of allergic reaction include: rash, breathing or swallowing problems, swelling of the lips, face, throat or tongue.

Do not use Mucolit lozenges if you are suffering from an active stomach ulcer or from duodenal ulcer.

The medicine should not be used without consulting a doctor before the beginning of treatment: if phlegm is bloody or if you are suffering or suffered in the past from impairment of: the respiratory system (such as asthma), the digestive system (such as ulcer).

Do not use this medicine frequently or for a prolonged period of time without consulting the doctor.

Consult a doctor before starting the treatment if you are pregnant/thinking you might be pregnant/ planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding/ planning to breastfeed.

Do not use this medicine during the first three months of pregnancy.

The medicine is not intended for children.

If you are taking or have recently taken other medicines including non-prescription medicines and food supplements, tell the doctor or the pharmacist.
