Active Ingredients
Each film-coated tabletcontains:
Valerian dry extract 500 mg
Indications
Therapeutic group: Sedative, herbal based.
Therapeutic activity: The medicine is indicated for sedation in cases of tension and nervousness and for the induction of sleep in states of unrest, after ruling out the possibility of another illness.
Instructions
Do not chew! Swallow the medicine with a small amount of water.
This medicine can be taken with food.
Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:
For adults and children above 12 years of age: 1 or 2 tablets half an hour before going to sleep. Maximum intake: 2 tablets per day.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to valerian or to any of its ingredients.
Do not use this medicine in children under 12 years of age.
Do not use this medicine if you suffer from fructose intolerance, from glucose-galactose malabsorption or from sucrase isomaltase enzyme deficiency.
Do not use this medicine often or for long period of time without consulting your doctor.
Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have been suffering from insomnia for a very long time.
Use of this medicine may impair alertness throughout the day and therefore caution should be exercised when engaging in activities such as driving a car, operating dangerous machinery and in any other activity which requires alertness.
Do not drink wine or other alcoholic beverages while under treatment with this medicine.
If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent risks or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. This is especially important for medicines belonging to the following groups: other sleep inducing drugs, anxiolytics, narcotic analgesics, other sedatives, drugs for epilepsy.
