Corsodyl dental gel
Treats a variety of conditions in the oral cavity, such as gingivitis, mouth sores and inflammations, abrasions from denture and more. Prevents infections after dental surgeries and plaque formation.

Indications

Disinfectant and antiseptic, for use in the oral cavity.
Corsodyl dental gel is intended for the following cases:
- For inhibition of formation of dental plaque
- As an aid in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis
- As an aid in the maintenance of oral hygiene
- For use following dental surgery or treatments, to promote healing of the gums
- For use in mouth ulcers, inflammations due to dentures and oral thrush
- As an aid in the prevention of dental caries in high risk patients, as an adjunct to fluoride
Instructions
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for oral use only.
Avoid contact with the eyes or ears. In case of contact with the eyes or ears, rinse them well with water.
Recommended dosage unless otherwise instructed by the physician:
For treatment of gingivitis: Brush the teeth for at least one minute, once or twice daily with 2 cm of gel. Continue the treatment for about one month.
For treatment of mouth ulcers and oral thrush: Apply the gel directly on the sore areas using the finger tip or a cotton bud once or twice daily for at least one minute. Continue the treatment for an additional two days after healing.
For treatment of mouth inflammations due to dentures: Before inserting the dentures, apply the gel gently on the dentures in the surfaces that come in contact with the gum.
As an aid in the prevention of dental caries or after dental surgery: Use according to the dentist's instructions.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
If there is no improvement in your condition, refer to your dentist.
Temporary staining of the teeth may appear when using Corsodyl dental gel , that can usually be removed by brushing. Staining can be avoided by not drinking tea, coffee or red wine - especially one hour after use, and by brushing daily with toothpaste. If staining remains it can be removed with a scale and polish from the dentist or hygienist.
Warnings
Do not use Corsodyl dental gel if you know of sensitivity to chlorhexidine digluconate or to any of the medicine's ingredients.
Toothpastes may impair the action of Corsodyl dental gel. Therefore, after brushing - rinse the mouth thoroughly with water and wait 5 minutes after brushing the teeth with toothpaste and before using Corsodyl dental gel, or use Corsodil dental gel at times of the day different from the times of tooth brushing.
When using Corsodyl dental gel to help in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis, the gums may bleed when brushing.
Do not bleach fabrics that have been in contact with the gel.
Do not use this medicine without consulting a physician before starting treatment:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, in children under 12 years of age.
If you are taking another medicine, or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending physician, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions.
