Directions for use:
Pruritus: Rub in Eurax cream to the affected skin areas 2 - 3 times daily until the pruritus is
relieved. Severe cases which require longer treatment should be treated the same, since Eurax is
tolerated well by the skin. If there is no relief of the pruritus after 5 days of treatment, consult a
doctor.
Scabies: The patient should first take a warm bath and dry the skin well. Afterwards, Eurax
should be rubbed into the entire body surface (excluding the face and scalp) until no traces of the
preparation remain visible on the skin. The application should be repeated once daily, preferably
in the evening, for 3 - 5 days, depending on the response. Special attention should be paid to
sites that are particularly susceptible to infestation by parasites (e.g. spaces between fingers
and toes, wrists, axilla and genitalia). Areas where there is pus formation should be covered
with a dressing soaked in Eurax. While the treatment is in progress, the patient may take a bath
before the next application. After completion of the treatment, a cleansing bath should be taken
followed by a change of bed linen and underclothing.
