Indications

Happy Tummy is a medical device in sachet used to assist in treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain.

The diosmectite is a natural clay characterized by a structure of fine overlapping crystalline lamellae which gives a high adsorbing power, such as to make it capable of incorporate the liquids present in the intestinal lumen (in addition to bacterial toxins and viruses if present), increasing stool consistency and slowing expulsion. The absorbance power of diosmectite also allows Happy Tummy to interact with the glycoproteins of the mucous layer covering the gastroduodenal wall, changing their physical characteristics so to form a protective gel against acid hyper secretion and gastrolesive substances, making a barrier effect against inflammatory mechanisms.

Instructions

Shake well before use. You can use the product as it is or mix it in semi-solid food (e.g. Yogurt) or at a quarter glass of drink, 50ml (e.g. water or juice). You can divide the food portion or liquid to 2-3 doses which are consumed during the whole day.

Recommended dosage:

Children 2-6 years:

1 sachet, 1-2 times per day, until symptoms disappear.

Children 6-12 years: 1 sachet, 2-3 times per day, until symptoms disappear.

Adults and children over 12 years:

1 sachet, 3 times per day, until symptoms disappear.

Do not exceed the recommended dose, in case of adverse effects (constipation, intestinal pain and flatulence) suspend use and consult your doctor.

Once you open the sachet you have to use it immediately till it ends.

It is advisable to take between meals.

In children, the treatment of acute diarrhea should be accompanied by the early administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration.

In adults, if necessary, it is advisable to take ORS during the treatment with Happy Tummy to assure a proper rehydration.

Do not use for no more than 10 consecutive days. If the symptoms persist, you should consult your doctor. In children, if diarrhea persists for longer than 3 days seek medical advice.

Do not take this medical device when lying down.

Warnings

Do not take Happy Tummy in case of known hypersensitivity to the components of the medical device.

Do not use Happy Tummy in children under 2 years.

Do not use the product in case of pregnancy or breast-feeding.

Do not use in presence of gastric or intestinal lesions or in case of chronic constipation, or intestinal irritation, or intestinal blockage.

The medical device contains aluminum resulting from diosmectite: if you are using other products or drugs containing diosmectite, clay or aluminum compound consult your doctor before taking Happy Tummy.

Do not take the medical device when using other devices or oral medicines: the adsorbing effect of diosmectite may adversely affect their efficacy.

Consult your physician before taking Happy Tummy in case of concomitant drug therapies.

The pack contains 12 disposable sachets of 15 gr each.
